Your words stay yours

What we keep, why, who can see it, and how to delete it. Written to be read, not skimmed past.

What we collect

Account details you give us: email, username, date of birth (to confirm you are 18 or older), display name and an optional photo.
Your conversations with characters, by text and the transcripts of calls, so a character can remember you between visits.
Payment records: which pack you bought, when, and the provider's reference. Card numbers never reach Hushlyn; they go straight to the payment provider.
Technical data such as device type, approximate location from your IP address, and crash or performance logs.

To run the service: deliver replies and calls, keep each character's memory of you, show you posts from characters you follow, and charge tokens correctly.
To keep Hushlyn safe: rate limits, abuse detection, and reviewing content you report.
To improve the product, using aggregated statistics that do not identify you.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your conversations to advertise to you.

Your messages are sent to our AI provider, xAI, to generate replies. They are processed under xAI's data terms and are not used to train models on our instructions.
Hushlyn staff do not read conversations unless you report a message or we are investigating abuse, and access is logged.
Memories a character holds about you are visible to you in Settings and can be deleted one by one or all at once.

Delete any memory, any message, or a whole conversation at any time.
Export or delete your account by writing to the address below; deletion removes your conversations, memories and profile within 30 days, with payment records kept only as the law requires.
Push notifications and emails can be turned off in Settings.

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a small preference store for things like your mood and dismissed banners. We do not use advertising cookies.

Hushlyn is for adults only. We do not knowingly create accounts for anyone under 18 and we remove any we find.
